Ahh Cancer is one of the most complex creatures to understand. She seems to be caring, understanding, and patient above all at one point, and the next, you can see her actually get crabby, snappy, and absolutely careless of you feelings. She’s always reaching out to others to give them a had. On the other hand, however, she continuously complains about how she has been mistreated by the universe. At the top of Cancer’s priorities, is the need for security. She is very cautious but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have the strength to move forward into unfamiliar territories. However frightening it may be to her, if she needs to push to get through some obstacles, she will gather all her courage and safely cross over to the other side.

The crab is ruled by the moon and its element is water. Thus her unpredictable mood swings can be explained by the fluctuating tides on the ocean floor caused by the moon itself! If you thought the ever-so elegant Taurus was sensitive, wait until you meet a Cancer. Under the hard barrier created by the surface of the water, lies a soft and sentimental creature with feelings that are as deep as the ocean itself.

Cancer is the instinctive nurturer who gives selflessly to those in need. She can make people feel understood - like they’re home. Likewise, loyalty is a top priority to Cancer. She is a big worrier and is very cautious about her belongings. When you offend a Cancer, the sulk that radiate out of her will be like an air-slap across your face…So be careful not to do so. As one would expect, she can be very good at keeping secrets especially since the growing anger inside her is a secret itself! The hard outer shell of the crab guards a vulnerable, sentimental person with a heart of gold. So what if she’s grumpy! She will make big sacrifices to help her dearest in need though she may start off by saying no to any favors asked from her. Remember to judge her by her actions and not by her words.

Cancer can be quite overprotective of the people involved in her life. It is hard to forget a Cancer because she likes to keep in touch with close friends, relatives, lovers, family, and just about anyone that have made an impact in her life. She is more of a traditional person- very loyal to her family. Once you’ve gotten close to a Cancer, it will be hard for her to let you go.

Although very observant with perhaps even a photographic memory, Cancer rarely goes straight to her target without stopping here or there, or even going the opposite direction. Eventually she will always get to her destination. Surprisingly, she is known to be “on-the-spot” in recognizing opportunities in business. She is also good at making good judgments when it comes to her colleagues. Her creative and artistic talent paired with her intellect and wisdom makes her a good businessperson and ultimately good at attracting wealth. This aspect about Cancer is why she is dubbed the money sign. Just as she does with her close friends and family, Cancer holds onto money tightly as well. It gives her a sense of security although she can never have enough of both emotional and monetary security in her mind. Like the water in a swimming pool, Cancer appears to be calm and strong on the surface, but beneath that she feels vulnerable and insufficient- she’s always imagining the worst outcome in a given scenario. If you haven’t already got the clue, Cancer is extremely emotional. Her sixth sense is the ability to feel and thus she understands other people’s feelings very well. For this reason she may become involved in her friends problems as much as she would her own. Cancer dislikes conflict because it disrupts the harmony that she tries so hard to maintain.
